Rachael Jordan Artist Statement
Rachael L. Jordan, an artist born and raised in Cincinnati, has a passion for creating art and has a love of teaching and mentoring
individuals of all ages.
The love of making art has been an ongoing refinement. I have been passionate about art my entire life. I’m a self-taught artist that enjoys using all types of mediums to create rarities from handmade paper to painting with watercolors, acrylic and oil paints. I’m inspired by the beauty of my hometown of Cincinnati, the beautiful masterpieces on display at our beloved Cincinnati Art Museum, Nature, and my own personal life experiences. My visual artwork is influenced by the old masters of impressionism and modern abstract art infused with vivid colors, monochromatic and nature motifs.
I enjoy creating marketing materials, innovative packaging and small rarity items such as jewelry, journals, greeting cards, hand painted canvas bags, bookmarks, handmade Blue Jean paper and ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards). Graduating from Cincinnati State, I have earned a degree in Graphic Arts and continue to work professionally in the field.
