Rachael L. Jordan, is an artist born and raised in Cincinnati, has a passion for creating art and has a love of teaching and mentoring individuals of all ages.
As a labor of love for the arts, it's all about the journey for me as concepts and compositions are dreamt up to tell the story of who, when, what, how, and why each element of my imagination becomes reality. My artwork has a story from either the beginning with a plan, or after the creation is made. Each piece has a soul, and a feeling. As artists, we have a way of communicating our feelings from experiencing joy, trauma, happiness, and sadness.
The emotional spectrum is vast and with every color combination,
there is a life that is lived on canvas.
As a printer and graphics production artist, I enjoy creating small companion items that are related to the current art theme. Special rarity items such as jewelry, journals, greeting cards, hand painted canvas bags, bookmarks, and ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards). Using the assembly line method, I craft prototypes until the final product is achieved. Creating handmade paper is not only a satisfying material to make but feels great to be able to recycle fabric and scrap materials. I create large and small blue jean papers for many creative uses from large painting papers to ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards).
Graduating from Cincinnati State, with a degree in Computer Science and Graphic Design, the love of making art has been an ongoing refinement. Creating in my younger years from a 5th grade hand drawn door design; writing poetry and being named most creative in my senior yearbook.
Teaching art was a new adventure during 2019. All art stores were closed as we all experienced the lockdown. Home bound, I was hard at work building my skills and searching for my purpose since teaching in person had ended.
Pendleton Art Center on the 4th floor, studio 414, is where is where I continue to display and build my body of work. You can see the studio and meet local artists on the Final Friday of every month, open to the public from
5-9 PM with valet parking.
By the Grace of God, and the love for my artist friends,
the Artist Trading Card club is born.
My creative path has had many trials, growing pains, and learning curves.
As I have received loving support and assistance from family and friends,
this club is dedicated to you all.
Let’s create, let's play, let’s MAKE MORE ART!
